The owner Lisa only cares about money and does not care about the kids or their education. Lisa accused me of writing bad checks and even threatened to call the DA office on me when it was a simple banking error and I paid in full the same day the issue happened! She unenrolled my kids the same day as well ever though per her own policy we should have been given 3 weeks. My kids didn’t even get the chance to say goodbye to their teachers or friends! She heartless, rude and very disrespectful!
Not to mention they do not sanitize the toys after the day is over otherwise my children wouldn’t have caught RSV. Rotovirus and hand foot and mouth within a month of starting this school.
This by far was the WORST experience ever with a daycare! Lastly food menu options are not up to par for the amount of money that it cost weekly. My kids should be eating better than just did fish sticks every Wednesday.
Also make sure to review the dps website for incident reports at this daycare before enrolling your child!
Before they respond back yes i am a real parent my post is just under my business name!
Very frustrating experience.
1) Teachers are changing very frequently which I never heard about because once kids are getting/understanding with one teacher then suddenly the teacher got changed, in 4-5 weeks of the period at least 4-5 teachers changed.
2) My kid has gluten allergy and as per their website they will provide a substitute for any allergic food even when I was having a school tour then staff member told me a couple of times that list the allergies and we would arrange a substitute. and that never happened.
school fee includes all the meals and we didn't get any single meal from school and we were providing all the meals and snacks from home.still one of the staff member mistakenly served my kid some cracker having gluten and my daughter started the reaction. and after any reaction, it takes a couple of days to recover completely after that my child hesitated to go to school again.still, we encouraged her to go and she went but again her regular teacher was not there and even that new teacher was completely ignoring her. After that, she didn't go to school.
after this incident, we decided to look for another facility for my daughter and we submitted an application to discontinue my daughter's schooling and requested them if we can have the last schooling day asap but the staff didn't help with that. i was just paying $225 per week for 3 weeks without sending my daughter to this facility.
Parents if you are selecting something based on reviews then always check bad reviews because they are the actual reviews.
Kiddie has been a great place for our 2 year old. His teachers Ms LaToyia and Ms Alisa just are AMAZING! They go above and beyond for their students and they are extremely loving and caring. They do an awesome job of communicating with us about our son throughout the day, and share highlights of his day when we pick him up. We feel very confident that he is in good hands when he's at school. Everyone we've interacted with at the academy has been super friendly.
We love Kiddie Academy Union Park and especially Ms LaToyia and Ms Alisa!
My sweet, quiet little boy comes home every day so full of new skills and new confidence and it has been such a joy to watch him grow in their classroom. He loves showing us the new things he’s created or learned that day and I am consistently amazed at some of the things he says (that I’m sure he didn’t get from me!). His teachers are so funny and kind and have created a wonderful environment with a great routine where the kids really thrive. Our boy will be moving on to the next class soon enough and while we know he’s ready for anything, we only wish he could take these two amazing ladies with him!
Our oldest kiddo has been attending KAUP for almost 2 years now and our youngest is coming up on his 1 year anniversary. It's always scary dropping your kids off somewhere for the day, but the friendly staff, the building's security measures, the in-classroom cameras and the tadpoles parent/teacher app do wonders to make us feel comfortable with this location.
Our 3yo is in Ms. Rebecca's class and he absolutely LOVES her. She is attentive and caring to his emotional needs while also supportive of his academic growth. As parents, we love her open communication about his progress and her confidence and poise in the classroom. We are always amazed at how much our boy is learning in her class. (He comes home talking about nebulas and naming colors in Spanish!) Her co-teacher, Ms. Jordyn, while newer to us, is soft-spoken and patient, but is rapidly coming into her own as a teacher.
Our almost 2yo is in Ms. Katie P's classroom and she is EQUALLY awesome. Kind, gentle and loving, she takes care of my baby like he's her own. Our littlest has really blossomed in vocabulary & speech while in her classroom. I once witnessed her co-teacher, Ms. Habiba, have the most tender interaction with my toddler. He was throwing quite the fit and hitting her legs, but instead of getting frustrated or walking away, Ms. Habiba bent down, wiped his tears and held him until he collapsed in her arms.
As a Mama, I'm so grateful for these women and the other staff members; Ms. Josie, Ms. Amber, Ms. Krista.... They are lovely and I can't say enough nice things about them. The Director, Ms. Sheryl, has done a ton of work to get this place rockin' and rollin' and there's been noticeable improvements since she started. We appreciate you all!!
